Soon after everyone was in love with Fullmetal Alchemist an anime series was created. The series followed the manga up to volume 7 and then, because the books were coming out too slowly for the anime, it went off in its own direction.The anime is pretty good, for an anime series. Lots of action, gory and really creepy at times, funny and full of cool characters. FMA is defiantly one of the better anime series out there. But if you want to compared to the manga the manga wins. The whole plot of the anime changes once it stops following the manga and instead of being a really interesting story it turns into your typical anime tale, which isn't always good. Plus the characters that they created weren't nearly as great as the ones in the manga.
But i will give credit to the anime for staying cool. The new adaption of FMA (which we will get into later) follows the manga but its too much of a cartoon. This first anime had a dark side that we all loved.
